My name is Cathy Michalak, I live in Los Angeles with my wonderful family and I am the founder and editor of EcoBuzz.
I was born and raised in Los Angeles. During college I worked as a veterinary technician. After graduating from UCLA, I worked in accounting for one year before transitioning to a career in software engineering. I worked in the corporate world as an aerospace software engineer for NASA’s Space Shuttle Program for 14 years and also worked briefly on a U.S. Army program. After the Space Shuttles were retired I began focusing on expanding the BuzzLA network through web and mobile app development.
I enjoy writing, photography, gardening and reading. I love spending time with my family. I am passionate about the environment, nutrition, health and fitness. I am an animal lover. And, of course, I will always be a space travel enthusiast and science junkie. EcoBuzz Los Angeles allows me to blend all of my passions into one. I hope you enjoy what it becomes as much as I enjoy developing it.
