Venice Eco-Fest

Where: Venice Beach Recreation Area:  Windward Avenue & Ocean Front Walk, Venice

Don’t miss the third annual FREE Venice Eco-Fest.  The outdoor green festival will include eco-exhibitors, music and entertainment (solar-powered sound stage), kid’s activities, vegetarian food court, e-waste recycling, water stations to fill up your reusable water bottle, the One Planet Parade of electric cars, unicycles, scooters, wagons, rickshaws and more!

Nature Walk

When: Saturday, July 10, 2010 9am-11am
Where: Ken Malloy Harbor Regional Park: 25820 Vermont Avenue, Harbor City

The Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy will lead a walk to view one of Los Angeles’ largest remaining natural freshwater lakes containing tule marshes, willow riparian forest and over 350 species of migratory birds.  The walk is free, family friendly and reservations are not required.  From Vermont Street turn into the park’s public lot just north of the Anaheim Street intersection.  For more information call 310-541-7613 or visit

LA Green Drinks

When: Thursday, July 15, 2010 7pm-10pm
Where: Art From the Ashes Gallery:  216 S. Brand Blvd, Glendale

Get together with others concerned about environmental issues over a drink.  $10 suggested donation includes drink tickets and appetizers and supports the ongoing work of Green Drinks and Art From the Ashes Gallery.  Relax, have a good time and feel free to network – an area for brochures, business cards and green literature will be available.  For more information visit
